DIMITRI'S HEART HAS GONE DARK

Now Rose must journey to the ends of the earth to find--and kill--her one true love...

Or has the time come to join him?

BOUND BY LOVE, BUT SWORN TO KILL...

The rest of the world had considered Dimitri dead. And to a certain extent, he was. But I hadn't been able to forget a conversation he and I had once had. We'd both agreed that we'd rather be dead—truly dead—than walk the world as Strigoi. It was time to honor our words.

Review: Major spoiler alert! Don't read if u haven't read the book yet!

The review is pretty much topic based rather than the writing etc., so it might not be for everyone to read..

This sequel wouldn't give me any rest. The most part I was looking forward to was Dimitri's behavior, I didn't quite know what to expect from him being Strigoi (I never questioned the fact he might not have turned into one). And of course his and Rose' reunion. The first part of the book was kinda slow (and I understand Rose' jorney had to be told) so thats basically why I would give 4 stars for this book instead of 5. In this first half I just missed all charcters I fell in love with even though Rose kept kinda connecting to Adrian and Lissa. Though I have to say it was funny to read all the russian traditions and stuff..I was curious if Richelle would actually get it all right (I'm very familiar with russian traditions, etc.) So lets say when Rose almost choked herself to death after drinking Vodka I was laughing so hard and said "thats SO true" (even though I personally can handle :P) But after that the story got me hooked. I enjoyed R/D moments but it really felt kinda weird them not beeing really themselfes. But other than that still my shipper heart was jumping :D Rose's escape broke my heart, especially the bridge scene! And I have to say all the things in the end were predictable for me! So it wasn't that big of a cliffhanger for me. I knew the moment Rose asked the one particulat question on the bridge and kept asking herself..I knew it wasn't over. And as soon as Oksana and Mark mentionet Robert I SO knew what to expect in the following book(s). It sounds like a lot to come for Rose and Lissa in the future. I'm already looking forward to their jorney, even the prison break (Viktor should have brought Michael Scofield with him) All in all this was a pretty dark life period for Rose and I can't wait to see what happens next!

Genre: Adult, Urban Fantasy, Shifters
Characters: Faythe/23, Marc/27, Jace, Ethan, Andrew
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Summary:I look like an all-American grad student. But I am a werecat, a shape-shifter, and I live in two worlds.
Despite reservations from my family and my Pride, I escaped the pressure to continue my species and carved out a normal life for myself. Until the night a Stray attacked.
I'd been warned about Strays: werecats without a Pride, constantly on the lookout for someone like me: attractive, female and fertile. I fought him off, but then learned two of my fellow tabbies had disappeared.
This brush with danger was all my Pride needed to summon me back for my own protection. Yeah, right. But I'm no meek kitty. I'll take on whatever and whoever I have to in order to find my friends. Watch out, Strays cause I got claws, and I'm not afraid to use them.

Review: Ok this series blew me away! I don't even know where to start. Rachel is a brilliant author, she makes you understand her characters even if they make stupid mistakes, you still kinda get why they did it. Her writing is so very human and the characters are so real and unique.
When I first picked up the book I was not convinced whether I should start this story or not but I gave it a try and couldn't stop reading! Even though this story includes family matters (which I find pretty much annoying in other books at some point) and political conflicts and aspects (which turn out boring in a lot of books). But those things even support the events in this books so much more.
Faythe's path leads her through a lot of trouble, avdentures, death, love, worry, growing-up, loyalty, betrayal, friendship and a lot of mistakes from which she has to learn and to grow.
The 4th book was the best one so far. There is so much going on and you can almost feel as exhaused, hopeless then again hopefull as Faythe while you read it. I found myself OMG-ing the whole time! The relationships are described so very real with its good and bad moments. There are a couple huge twists and they are both intense and very emotional. Rachel Vincent even got me to that point where I wanted my fave character to die because of what she/he has still to deal with in the next book/s and it would kill her/him. I can't bear to see/read when she/he reaches that point.
I can't wait til March for the next book!
