Genre: Young Adult, Thriller
Characters: Eric/18, Lori/15, Jake Proctor
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥
Summary: 18-year-old Eric has just been released from juvenile detention for murdering his mother and stepfather. Now he's looking for some tenderness; tenderness he finds in caressing and killing beautiful girls. Fifteen-year-old Lori has run away from home again. Emotionally naive but sexually precocious, she is also looking for tenderness; tenderness she finds in Eric. Will Lori and Eric be each other's salvation or destruction?

The book has its charm. I enjoyed reading it, it only took me a day. While Eric is a serial killer - especially on young girls - the author managed to make him really "human" and I found myself rooting for him. Lori is a runaway, about to discover the world, who has a fixation on Eric. What I found pretty great is that they weren't totally strangers and met a couple of years ago. The incident is pretty intense and dangerous. I enjoyed their jorney and relationship. Dangerous and innocent at the same time. Also the cop, keeping an eye on Eric for years, makes smart moves to place a trap for Eric and keep him behind bars.

Tenderness will be on screen in 2009, starring Russel Crow as the Lieutenant.
Realease date TBA
Really excited to see the movie. Check out the trailer below
